Sooners Route Spartans 9-0

Kiersten Deal made her first collegiate start this afternoon for the Sooners. She walked the first hitter and you could see some visible nerves. She calmed down and more than looked the part striking out 5 and only allowing one hit in 4 innings earning herself her first win.

The Sooners bats came out early going up 3-0 in the first highlighted by a triple from Grace Lyons. In the second inning they scored 5 total but 4 came from a Grand Slam from a pinch hitting Grace Green. They added one more in the third to make it 9-0 before Alex Storako came in relief to finish the game allowing one hit and a walk while striking out one.

The Sooners will be back in action on Friday in Waco, TX at the Getterman Classic against Longwood who just upset Florida State on Saturday. There is no video broadcast for this weekend. Radio 107.7 FM and live stats.
