Cincinnati Scouting Report
This week’s Scouting Report, breaking down OU’s Week 4 opponent, the Cincinnati Bearcats, including roster, strengths, weaknesses, stats, and more.
Nicole May did it again as the Sooners win 5-4. She tossed 8 K’s in relief of Jordy Bahl who struggled with control some allowing 4 runs, 4 hits but 6 walks and a HBP. Alyssa Brito was the offensive hero hitting a 2 run HR and Cyd Sanders added a 2 run Single. Defense wasn’t the cleanest with 2 errors and a couple of miscues that lead to runs but weren’t errors in the scorebook. It’s the first weekend and this team isn’t the first to struggle out of the gates (looks at last year) and won’t be the last. The important thing is they faced adversity and rose to the occasion. This team is loaded and so far it’s been a different hero most games.
Sooners will face San Jose St. tomorrow at 2:00 central to wrap up the Mark Campbell Invitational. https://www.flosoftball.com/events/6767341-2023-mark-campbell-collegiate-invitational
