Sooners in the NFL continue to dominate as former Sooner Running Back Rhamondre Stevenson hit 1,000-yards rushing this season. Stevenson was drafted in the 4th round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots. In only his 2nd year in the NFL, Stevenson became the 8th Sooner to eclipse 1,000 yards rushing in a single season. Stevenson’s impressive feat in year 2 of his professional football career once again proves that the University of Oklahoma is the real Running Back University.

Rhamondre Stevenson played for the Oklahoma Sooners for 2 seasons, 2019 and 2020. During his time at Oklahoma, he accumulated 1180 yards and scored 13 total touchdowns. Stevenson transferred to the University of Oklahoma after playing at Cerritos College for 2 seasons. In 2020, Stevenson was named the Cotton Bowl MVP in the Sooners’ route of Florida. The Sooners’ running back had 186 yards in the game as well as a touchdown.
